Many a time have we come across and often use the Word “meditation”.

Despite all its popularity, today very few of us truly know what meditation is. Some regard meditation as the mental concentration on something, others consider that we meditate when we imagine something that gives us peace or satisfaction. All these methods are being with one goal to slow down and, eventually, completely stop the incessant activity of our minds. These exercises are not really meditation – they are substitutes for meditation because it is normally very difficult to stop our minds all-together.

In reality, meditation is a state of thoughtless awareness. It is not an act of doing – it is a state of awareness. We either in this state or we are not, regardless of what we are doing in life. Truly, a man can be in meditation while doing his day’s labors as another man can be very far from meditation while sitting in a lotus posture on the top of a mountain.

When we take a look at the various explanations of meditation, another thing we often see is that meditation is defined as taking a moment to sit quietly or to ponder.

True meditation, however is much more than this. It is a state of profound, deep peace that occurs when the mind is calm and silent, yet completely alert. This is just the beginning of an inner transformation that takes us to a higher level of awareness. This enables us to fulfill our true human potential. The problem, of course, is how to achieve this state.

The words of Scripture are living words. ( Hebrews 4:12.). They contain eternal wisdom held in the shell of human words. God wants us to “break open” these human words and begin to discover the rich wealth of personal application and understanding that they hold. This goal can be accomplished as you memorize and meditate on Scripture.

The Apostle Paul said, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you (live in you) richly in all wisdom” (Colossians 3:16). Meditation on Scripture will cause Scripture to “dwell in you” and become a source of wisdom in your mind, will, and emotions.

Remember, meditation cannot be done in a hurry. It takes time. Doing studies on the meaning of a passage and committing it to memory prepare you to meditate on it. As you meditate, the Holy Spirit will teach you the ways of God through His Word. ( John 16:13.)

The following keys are vital  to meditation:

1. Worship God in Your Spirit:

Your times of meditation should be times of worship and fellowship with God. Worship God in your spirit as you quote God’s Word back to Him. Reverence God’s Word and purpose to “do according to all that is written therein” (Joshua 1:8).

2. Personalize the Passage

Turn the Scripture into a first-person prayer back to God. Personalize it by putting it in the first person, using I, me, and my. For example, Colossians 3:16 (quoted above) could be personalized by saying, “Let the word of Christ dwell in ME richly in all wisdom.” When you put Scripture in the first person, it becomes a living expression within your heart, which is one aspect of meditation.

3. Give Attention to Each Word of Each Verse:

Focusing on one verse at a time, quote it to the Lord, pondering each word. With each recitation of a verse, emphasize a different word.

Be attentive. This simple method of meditation will reveal new insights and give you greater understanding of phrases and sentences. As you hear the words of the passage, you will discern nuances and associations that are often overlooked when the passage is read silently.

“Martin Luther, one of the pivotal figures of church history, gave detailed instructions on how to meditate … . ‘You should meditate not only in your heart, but also externally, by actually repeating and comparing oral speech and literal words of the book, reading and rereading them with diligent attention and reflection, so you may see what the Holy Spirit means by them.’ ” (Doug McIntosh, God Up Close: How to Meditate on His Word, Moody Press, Chicago, Ill., 1998,65)

4. Illustrate the Main Concepts Found Within the Passage:

As you memorize and meditate on a passage, look for Biblical concepts and patterns. Sometimes drawing simple illustrations with stick figures and symbols can help you remember the main ideas of the passage. Not only will the actual creation of the illustration help you further meditate on the meaning of the passage, but your illustration can serve as a simple summary of what the Lord taught you through meditation on His Word.

Each illustration should represent your current understanding of the action being described in the verse or phrase. As your understanding of the verse deepens, your illustrations will expand.

5. Meditate on Scripture as You Go to Sleep at Night:

One of the most critical times to meditate on God’s Word is as you go to sleep each night. In Scripture, there are many references to meditating on Scripture at this time. (See Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:2, 63:6, and 119:148.)

The quiet moments of preparing for sleep offer an ideal setting for contemplation and fellowship with the Lord. The thoughts that are on your mind as you go to sleep will be in your subconscious mind all through the night. They will strongly influence your attitudes the next day, consciously or subconsciously.

6. Respond to God as He Teaches You:

As you meditate, don’t be discouraged if you have to go over the passage several times before insights begin to come to mind. As God reveals an insight to you, pray it back to Him and ask Him for the grace to apply that truth in your life. If the Holy Spirit convicts you of sin in your life, confess it to the Lord and be forgiven.

Apply to your life the insights you gain through meditation on Scripture. God bless you

Life in ‘KuwSaudia’

FB_IMG_1489243311233This particular writing is quite contrary to what I do post on my page. But I deem it necessary to inform the public and create an awareness which will intend educate others a nd I’m certain that my entire generation will not step here except on ‘ministry basis’, unless they protest by being stubborn. I do not mean to deride anyone neither am I writing out of some personal opinions or thoughts. I can as well prove to a 100% whatever I have stated here.

‘I wish you fortunate’, were the very words the immigration officer said to me after reluctantly opposing my coming to this particular country. Initially, she looked at my 18 years face then at my 21 year old fake age on my passport and told me she would not stamp my papers because I looked much younger than the age I had on the passport. After further enquiries and persuasions, she finally stamped it. But it takes more than being fortunate to survive out here. You need the Divine Grace of God to survive out here.

My travelling in some sense meant a lot to my family and they succeeded in persuading me to travel out of the country. I had to put up some excuse to make my resignation meaningful at the school I was pupil teaching after graduating from the senior high school. I arrived at Kuwait on the 23rd September, 2014 at the man power office where I was taken by one family who had paid for my services as a nanny. My phone was ceased immediately I arrived. Four months later, I left for the office with varied reasons. There I was enlightened about this whole work thing since I understood the local language(Arabic) a bit. I have really been misinformed!

Unknowingly, the people here actually pay for everything in addition to the amount both the local agency and office here will take, then again, pay the worker monthly. Most of them spend over US$2500. How then are they supposed to treat someone they ‘bought’? Like a piece of trash, I suppose and you’ve got no choice than to work your ass off. Left to me alone, no girl will come to any of these countries apart from those who have actually been here from a definite past time. They must have some vital reasons for coming back. Besides, many are making a fortune out of their stay here. Our youthful strength and vitality are needed for far more useful stuffs to build ourselves, hopes, families and countries at large, instead, we come back home feeble, weak and deprived of our strength. The agencies who organise this inhuman companies foot the bills required for the necessary documentation for one’s travelling (they claim). The individual is also required to pay some amount of money before commencing their paper work and the agents who succeed in convincing the girls to travel are paid some peanuts for their rendered services. So I thought to myself, are we not going back into slave trade?

It is so pathetic how one could work for two full good years without a weekend or a single holiday. Did you say it is greed? Well, I will by no means be here if it were greed, that is not my nature! Neither was there a need to travel so badly. If I had a will to travel at all to any choice country, it will certainly not be here! After all isn’t it an experience to travel out of your country, meet new people, learn new things and the lot more? Who does not want to make it in life? Who wouldn’t want to do a simple house chore, be a nanny or a cook and make a living out of it? Apparently, I couldn’t have earned what I had in 6 months here if I were still pupil teaching for a year. Most people are still making it out here. But the decisive question is what about the large percentage of people  who are molested, denied shelter, food and clothing, victimized, subjected to other indecent works, sexual abuses, unpaid among others. Those who are privileged to air their plights are immediately taken care of, their pictures are taken as evidence for their fair and well treatments and then they start facing a fresh music altogether whereas the local agencies use the evidences as their baits to lure others into this hell. Others, especially illiterates are compelled to sign new agreements even after their contracts are ended. Some are also denied their tickets back to their countries after the contract due to their refusal to renew them. I do not mean to say it happens here only, it is just in extreme. One lady I spoke to complained bitterly about how she was beaten and locked up for days without food because she was sick and couldn’t work, so appalling!

On the other hand, most of the girls end up fleeing from their contracts by the aid of some Ghanaian guys (or whoever) who are also working here. Instead of going back home or working, they end up in prostitution. Some of the Ghanaian guys help the others to get work and are paid twice or trice as much as they used to be paid while working under companies in the peoples homes, since they fend for their bills themselves. After aiding them in getting a job, they then demand to be paid in kind. “Thinking that I have found someone from my very own country who will assist me, instead, take advantage of me in payment for their kind gesture”: It is so heart breaking to hear this from most girls who have gone through this ordeal.

My experience was no very different. Having been cognisant of the problems brought to the office daily through out my one week stay after I left the former place, I joined the bargaining team as to what I really will do in a particular house. I came down to Saudi Arabia with my new ‘family’ to work as a cook.

Alas, I had just jumped into the fire itself from the fry pan. Luckily, I was not denied my phone and so I got connected to others( known and unknown) who were here, hence, formed a WhatsApp group chart to stay connected as well as share and solve problems amidst members and distant ones. Two months after my arrival, my payment was reduced and no amount of text messages or calls to the office changed anything after they replied once. They suddenly stopped picking my calls and refused to reply my messages. I gave up on that and prayed my contract ended fast. As if that was just the beginning , my cooking chores extended to been a nanny ( caring for my madam’s grandchildren) and  house keeping. As if that was not enough, I had to move from house to house putting in order my madam’s daughter’s various homes.

[An extract from my poem: ‘My Story’].

My hands beg me to use them not

My feet beg me to use them not

The stirs moan in pain as a result of my numerous to and fro

The machines stir in my face with anger….

To worse it all, I became the carpenter putting together the poultry tent on the desert either in the burning sun or chilled weather after cleaning it from time to time. I had to pretend to be scared of the sheep to avoid caring for them too. Yet still, I come back home to continue from where I stopped before retiring to bed.

[an extract from my poem-‘In Another Country’]

So complex yet must I endure

Times of sleepless nights and aches all round

Times of tears and wearies yet I endure

Nowhere to go because it was same all round.

It got to a time I became so fed up and informed my dad about the excess work. He went to the local agency to inquire from them. Shamefully, they called me to ask of my boss’ number ( for they were not having it). They called them and thus, my working on the field ended for two months, then started all over again in a grand style. The worse times were during Ramadan and other festive occasions such as parties, wedding, naming ceremonies etcetera. A week does not pass by without receiving visitors, except they’ve travelled. They would rather believe a dummy than you who is speaking the truth, speak to you ruthlessly and will pull the ruff down over the slightest mistake. And when the irritation becomes so intense, I only remind myself of whose I am, heave a sigh and let it go.

I was not left out with various sexual advances. In the beginning, I thought it was some sort of test until I found out from one of the guys why they always made such advances. He told me boldly without dignity that “that was how they treated all those who came to work for them”. I quickly got a knife, threatened one and that ended it notwithstanding the fact that I kept a knife with me at all times ( to scare away the bratty). I still think many could escape this based on the way they present themselves or carry themselves around. Most people come and leave here with some sort of rapacious, noxious and peevish characters due to the effect of what they’ve been through. It is my utmost prayer that, those here will be strengthened to endure through this living and come out sound, safe and not in a morbid state in Jesus name!

I beseech all who are on my side to do everything within their power to inclose and put to an abrupt halt and cessation all those companies bringing girls here to work. Nevertheless, they should be ready to make bye laws (if they have none) and enforce it to protect the interest of these workers here. This wouldn’t only promote growth and stability in various countries but also promote friendly relationship amongst these countries and world at large. Who would want to see and constantly hear of the agonies his or her people are facing in other countries? The government should also put legislations in place to make it impossible to come out here even as they create job avenues especially for SHS graduates who are yet to further their education in order to give them no reason at all to risk coming here (Some stated this as their reason for coming here in a close interview).

I fear not telling my story. For I know through it all I have learned, unlearnt, been moulded and built up by virtue of God’s Grace. And I know nothing else can heal this land from its massive barbarous and ferocious ways except by believing and accepting Jesus Christ….so help us all God!!!

A Perfect Heart

2 Chronicles 2:1-2

1. Amaziah was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem.

2 And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, but not with a perfect heart.

To have a perfect heart is to be faithful and true, trustworthy, dutiful, patriotic, dedicated amongst others. Doing what is right without a perfect heart is like pouring water on a stone to grow. It is awful  that this is who and what we have mostly become, our character and regular attitude. We read the Word of God because it is right, we give because it is right, we pray because it is right, we are the great preachers and teachers of our time and smile because it is right but deep in there; in the heart is a treacherous heart and yet we call ourselves ‘born again’. Dear one, quit been fake and be real.

Christ is a reality and not an illusion. You don’t have to feel like worshiping or praying before you do it. If it is in your heart and from your heart, you don’t have to be told or feel. You don’t have to be in the spirit because you heard the sound of a worship song.

If you still depend on listening to preachers and songs to get spiritual then you have a long way to go. Move out from your body and get connected to God at heart! In the Spirit!

Beloved loyalty is a virtue. How loyal are you? Who are you? Your heart determines your personality and it reveals you both outwardly and inwardly. For God looks in the heart. He is perfect and you cannot improve on Him, so whatever you do for God, you do is for yourself. Whatever you sow…

We have to recognise that there cannot be a relationship with God and mankind unless there is loyalty, love, patience, persistence which cannot come from a mouth without a heart. Let nothing turn your heart from God.

Beloved in the Lord, it is my prayer that your heart aligns to the Word of God. May the words of your mouth be acceptable to God because they are perfect in Jesus Christ, Amen.

Matthew 24:4

Jesus told them, “Don’t let anyone fool you”.

Lue 21:8; He replied, Don’t let anyone mislead you. For many will come announcing themselves as the Messiah, and saying, “the time has come”. But don’t believe them!

I will preach to you the joys of wine and drink-that is the kind of drunken, lying prophet you like!

When I were in school, we had this teacher who was a Man of God and did preached during most services conducted in the school. Whenever most students see him they begin to pass comments like; this man again?…How I wish he were not the one preaching today!…How I dislike his preaching…amongst others just because he was sure to hit the nail right on its head which ended up revealing most of their secrets than the other preachers did.

Our focus on consecration, redemption and the kingdom of God has being ruptured from the very core of our hearts and has being replaced by the things and teachings of the regular preacher. We prepare to listen to the joys of wine and drink. A pain free and struggle free life are what we opt for and thus listen to those who talk about them. We rejoice in getting married, partying, building houses, riding the latest cars, buying the latest accessories, tools and gadgets  not forgetting –‘you shall receive your visa! You shall travel!and we respond,Amen!

We are offended with the way of the cross and has gladly replaced the truth with the lie. This is the devil’s tool to rip us of our knowledge, stand and truth about the things of God. In this reading, you will know how his deception has destroyed and is still destroying us. Until we know the power of deception, we will forever be fooled and led to the slaughter house unknown.  Be wise! Do not be misled!

THE FAKE PRODUCT (Genesis 3:4-5)

My mum instructed me to get a product from a particular shop at the supper market on my way out one afternoon. Then she added; ‘if you don’t find them bring back my money’. On my way back,I went to the shop which was busy as usual. As I waited for my turn, one woman came to pull me and asked me to follow her that, she had what I wanted and that the shops own was fake. She was elderly and sounded so convincing that I wondered why my mum would want a fake product. Without hesitating,I took the elderly woman’s stuff and headed home with the aim.of correcting my mum as to 1hich product was truly fake. Upon arrival, she took the product and observed it carefully, I waited patiently so I would correct her if she should by any means say I bought the wrong stuff. She looked sternly into my face and said; you did not get it from where I sent you,why didn’t you bring back my money? This is fake! She did not wait for me to explain but gave me proof as to the reason why it was fake. She knew what she wanted and where it was,but I ended up disobeying her, that is, trading the truth for the lie. I was deceived by disobeying!

Deception is a trick or scheme used to get what on wants. It is a misleading falsehood which occurs when one is deceived. Genesis 3:4-5 indicates the beginning of deception -apostasy which means a defiance of an established system or authority. It is the falling away from the key and true doctrine into heretical teachings.

God in His own undisputed knowledge, wisdom, power , authority and glory created mankind to do His will and outlaid instructions to be followed… “Do not eat from that tree”… (Genesis 2:16-17). Just like they fell for the devil’s trick and scheme, and like I disobeyed my mum, the same way we all in one way or the other continue to stagger in one falsehood or the other, endangering everything around us.  This has aroused lots of contempt, misunderstanding, break-up, wars , and even death both spiritually and physically.  Whiles paying for the loss , pain and grief it has caused us,the other end- the deceiver, rejoices at its success and achievement.  Be warned,do not be misled!

Any baker out there could tell how yeast could affect any amount of dough and increase it’s quantity in just a matter of time. Jesus uses yeast to describe the corruptness of the religious sects. Their corrupted teachings , believes and attitudes was of great influence that it affected one in a matter of time thereby causing confusion in abundance.

The deceiver-master of all liars is the devil who was once the anointed cherub (set apart for God’s divine purpose). He was created perfect in all his ways until he decided to create iniquity due to pride (Ezekiel 28:15-18). He is known as the serpent, perfect in lies due to it’s split tounge. He knows the truth about you and makes it a lie. And it is unbelievable how he effects rapidly anything around and how pitiful souls end up eternally in doom and destruction . This is the kind and type of being we are dealing with. He beautifies everything and presents this life affecting poison presented on a golden cup and the ignorant glues it in a matter of time and pays eternally for his deception .

After I was convinced the fake product was rather the quality one,I paid for it and left for home. After realising how stupidly I have being tricked,I knew there was no way I could get my mum’s money back to her. What if that were my mum’s entire fortune she had saved all her life? What if she had used the product without examining it and had died as a result?

The cost of deception is that which has caused the entire creation of God to suffer death till now. One thing we’ve not considered is how irritating and damaging it is to be tricked. It sounds funny and we often think we wouldn’t have fallen for such silly trick.

Recently, one brother in asked me to help him pray so he could recover some vital documents, money and passport he had loosed as a result of being deceived. Did you ask how? I also did asked as if I have never fallen for such trick.  His hard earned documents, time and money were gone not because he disobeyed, rather, fell for a trick. It is painful and annoying how much we pay to retrieve, regain and re-aquire that which we loose as a result of being deceived.

How much then did it cost to regain our dignity, inheritance ,purpose, dominion and identity which was once ripped off us as a result of deception? 2 Samuel 6:13 And it was so, that when they that bare the ark of the LORD had gone six paces, he sacrificed oxen and fatlings.

The scripture from verse 1 indicated that King David was moving the ark of God from the home of Obed-edom to the city of David. Sacrificing of animals to God was constant in those time and was done to atone for one’s sin, for thanksgiving,  offerings, amongst others.  It was during that time did Joab reported the  number of people in Israel and Judah as 800,000 and 500,000 men in conscription age respectively. Looking imaginatively the total sum of animals sacrificed from Genesis to Malachi will amount to only God knows.  Yet, not a piece of this totalled sacrifices nor even all, could amount to the cost we had to pay because of deception!

It had to cost God His only begotten and beloved son, a sinless blood, to atone for our fall to deception which has caused pain, sorrow ,  disgrace , curse ,  anxiety  , death and the damnation of many. For many were those who had being deceived, many are still deceived today and many shall be deceived so long as we decide to close our eyes and ignore the damage it’s causing us. Unless the problem is known and noted, solving and attaining a possible solution is inevitable.  Deception is a destructive power. Beware, for the cost was God’s own son.

Once I made a mistake whiles calculating something for my dad, He complained bitterly as to why I should have caused such error instead of handling the calculation well. I was ashamed because I might have caused that mistake by some careless act. Another time, he did the same thing and so had to face me, the prosecutor.

So you see, no one is exempted from making a mistake or falling short even for deception.  In Matthew 4:3 ; Jesus fell into the hands of the deceiver to go through a test. To any ‘human’ in Jesus’ position, the test would have being passed easily -that is falling for the demands of the devil but Jesus did not fall for such tricks. He was the Son of God. He could have proofed it by simply turning the stones into bread. But He knew one thing which was: His aim was to proof that He was indeed The son of God by hanging on ‘The cross’ and not ‘turning  stones to bread’

Why should the devil have to tempt Jesus with food when it knew he was hungry? Then He did not give up but went on to set another trap as to Him falling  from a roof. The devil looks at the possible weak spot and strikes.

When Jesus told said; ‘beware of yeast (Matthew 16:6-12)’, He was not speaking to unbelievers or the crowd. He was talking to His ‘destiny helpers’. People who were anointed and chosen to fulfil His Devine assignment.  If those who sat with Jesus, walked with him and even ate with Him were told to watch out, how much more you and I

If Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour, King, Hope, Defender, Shield, The Prince of Peace, Redeemer, Restorer, Help, infact the Lion of the tribe of Judah should go through the deceiver’s trap, how much more you and I, mare penny men who are bright in the morning and wither at dusk, who have been constantly warned to watch out for the attacks of devil .

This reminds me of the brother I spoke about who was deceived.  He was educated, intelligent and was supposed to know more and better. Do you really think he would have given those documents to someone with the tag ‘deceiver’ on his fore-head or possibly one who is widely known to be a deceiver? Absolutely not! With all his degree and certificates he was deceived.  The devil’s schemes and tricks are constant except we stand firmly in God each day at a time, so we can be able to identify them as they come and deal with them.

Grace is God’s Divine favour and mercy distinguished from His Justice, a divine love or pardon, a state of acceptance with God which has being offered us by virtue of the crucifixion and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 1:17). This free gift which is obtained by ‘Faith’(a substance of things unseen, yet hoped for), makes one a child of God (John 1:1), thereby, making the person posses power which is exercised over the devil and all his deceptive ways.

What then has deception got to do with one who is a new creation (1Peter1:23), when sins power (deception) has being broken (Romans 6) and Christ lives in us (    )?

The deceiver and his army has being thrown down from heaven unto earth (Revelations 12:9-10). This is why all on earth are deceived!  Luke 10:18-19; “He told them, I saw Satan falling from heaven as a flash of lighting! And I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and to walk ‘among’ serpents and scorpions and to crush them. Nothing shall injure you.

We are ‘among’ deceivers. We are dwelling and living amongst them since they are here on earth with us. Grace is limitless-that is, all sinners and children of God share in it. Those who posses the given authority are those who can exercise it over the deceiver.  If believers had nothing to do with the deceiver  there would have been no mention of ‘watch out’!

Paul adds that; Keep your eyes open for spiritual danger… (1 Corinthians 16:13). He was speaking to people who were spiritual minded. Be livers of Jesus Christ who have being saved by Grace.

Carrying the cross and following Jesus means imitating His living and ways even through temptations, persecutions , trials etc. Since Christ suffered and underwent deceptions’ test, so we also must go through them (1Peter4:1). Be careful then, if you are thinking, “Oh, I would never  heave like that”-let this be a warning to you. For you too may fall into sin(1 Corinthians 10:12). Saved by Grace does not mean living free from deceptive attacks. Grace requires total submission to the Spirit of God and that is the only way we can identify and defeat deception. You and I will live no longer a monster deception not because we have Grace,  but because the time is near for it to be bounded ( Revelations 20:1-2)

In one group discussion, some one asked if she could save somebody from a particular situation or trouble with a lie. Then I remembered the life we lived in the primary school. We played very well on our way back from school. After realising how late and dirty we are,  we dust ourselves and start devising plans on how to convince our parents and escape punishment. We conclude that we sent our teacher’s books home and if they needed any further proof we only recommend each other to our parents as to it being the reason why we came home late. We were saving ourselves from being punished by lying -deceiving our parents. These lies however saved us but for a while, when the PTA had to find out which teachers actually sent students on such errands after school since parents were complaining bitterly. The truth was revealed  thereby revealing our lies and accusations against the teachers. You see, this lies rather dug holes of shame and disgrace for us.

The danger of falsehood and deception are so grave and so needs our constant check. Check yourself  (1 Corinthians 13:5). Be on your guard that you may not be used as a tool to deceived someone. Deception remains deception and is punishable even eternally  (Romans 1:18).

“But”, some say, our breaking faith with God is good, our sins serve a good purpose, from people will notice how good God is when they see how bad we are. Is it fair then, for Him to punish us when our sins are helping him? God forbid! Then what kind of a God would He be to overlook sin? How could He ever condemn anyone? For He could not judge and condemn a sinner if dishonesty brought His glory pointing up His honesty in contrast to my lies. If you follow through with the idea you come to this: the worse we are, the better God likes it! But the damnation of those who say such thing is just.. ( Romans 3:5-8).

Be warned beloved, if you trade the truth for the lie If you teach others the truth and do the exact opposite  (Romans 2:21-22). Be warned if you are the vessel which have warmed itself among believers and tell them to do what they like and that God won’t punish them as a way of deceiving them(Jude 1:4). If the culprits under the law where punished, how much more those who are trampling on The Son through disobedience and deception  (Hebrews 10:29). Every single has its root from this one ‘deception’, and so be warned, and don’t let since take control of your penny bodies (Romans6:12). Woe  to help that lives by deception! For He is on the highway to damnation  (Matthew 23:23-35). All deceivers including the devil-the master and founder of lies will not escape the wrath of God.  Be warned! (Revelations 21:8)

Although we are attacked and pressed by deception at all sides, glory be to God that victory is assured to them who trust Christ Jesus to help them. And since we are prior to fall into one, the Spirit of God needs to first reveal the deception that is within us.

Your victory over deception starts when you lay all your deceptions on the table (1 Corinthians 2:10). The supernatural power of God’s amazing Grace through Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour  is manifested when the presence of honesty is felt. Therefore, whatever magnet of deception that attracts us to the deceiver must first news destroyed.

Guarding oneself against falsehood is the next step in overcoming deception.  This can be done by knowing the truth. To spot the counterfeit, study the real thing. The only truth which sets free and gives life is Jesus Christ-The Word of God. When we look at Him as the truth, He intends reflects His image on us making us Christ -like, His very image and self which reveals His real servants (1 John 5:4). Jesus said, a tree is recognised by its fruits (Matthew 12:33). If you  are on guard with Jesus, you will know the seeds He bares through you and others who are related to Him and certainly know that of the deceiver.

Another way of securing defeat over deception is being fully clothed in the full armour of God  (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Pray without ceasing , for the fervent prayer of the righteous avails much (1 Thessalonians 5:7, James 5:16). In as much as we continue in prayer to out with deception, let’s pray for one another (1 Timothy 2:2, Philippians 4:6)

Obedience pays. The blessings of God to they who hearken to His Word are just (Acts 5:29, Hebrews 11:8). Let they who have ears listen to what the Spirit of The Lord is saying and obey. It is the key to overcoming deception.

Revelations 12:11; They defeated him by the blood of the lamb, and by their testimony; for they did not love their lives but laid them down for him. If you love your life, you can never carry your cross and follow Jesus, thereby making you a slave to sin-deception. Until then, your defeat over deception will remain clouded.

Victory is within our reach. Fasten not carnality around your neck which hinders us from reaching our supernaturality in God. He has overcome! We overcome! Deception has being rendered powerless in Jesus name, HALLELUJAH!!!

Matthew 6:10

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

When you look at the Greek root of this word translated as “will”, you find that it means to want, wish, or desire. The meaning in Hebrew is similar: “to delight in, take pleasure in, desire, be pleased with”. This challenges our understanding of what God’s “will” means, because when we think of doing what He wants, that requires a close relationship and knowing His heart. The English translators of the day used the old English word “will” (from “willan”) because it used to mean: “to wish, desire, or want”. However, today the word “will” no longer means that at all. It is now defined as:

The capability of conscious choice and decision and intention, a fixed and persistent intent or purpose.

The mental faculty by which one deliberately chooses or decides upon a course of action.

Diligent purposefulness; determination.

Resolution, compulsion, ability and even inevitability.

And so, when we think of “God’s will”, we tend to think of resolution, inevitability and a deliberate course of action. Although the Greek word meant what God wants or desires, when the Bible was first translated into English the word “want” wasn’t used as we use it today (it meant to be lacking something), so the word “want” as we know it is not found in old versions of the Bible and they used this word “will” instead.

Obviously there are correct uses of the word and every time you see “will” in the Bible it doesn’t mean “want”; I’m referring to two Greek words, thelo and thelema (the prolonged form of thelo). It seems that these two words were intended to mean “want” or “wish”, and many modern translations recognise this and now read quite differently as a result. They are not watering down the word, they are clarifying the meaning so that we understand what was originally intended. The Bible reveals to us that God can do anything He wants and have anything He wants, and yet He doesn’t force Himself or what He wants on mankind. God is not limited by anyone or anything except Himself.

From the garden of Eden to today, He has always wanted a close relationship with us; He wants us to want Him, love Him and choose Him. And that elevates Him far above us humans, we cannot comprehend that because if that was any one of us, we would ensure that we got exactly what we wanted; if we were God we would just “make it so”. We’re that selfish and self-centered.

As humans we try to get what we want by controlling and manipulating people; whether through our words, our silence, or our actions. Our enemy tries to control and manipulate us through fear. BUT GOD… even though He is God and could control us, instead He loves and hopes… hopes for a response… waits for a response… longs for a response… and loves us regardless of our response. He is always after the heart and choice is a matter of each individual’s heart.

When I finally submit to Him and His love has conquered me, then what He wants becomes what I also want. It brings my heart and my actions into line with what He desires; so much so that I no longer even want what I want, instead I want what He wants. You always want to know and do what your Loved One wants, simply because you love them. When we understand God’s “will” to be what God desires, it encourages us to spend time with Him learning to know His heart, so that we can give Him His deepest heart’s desire.

God’s “will” is often thought of in terms of His “will” for your life, or what your “calling” is. Another word for calling is vocation, which is from “vocal”; meaning what you are “called” to. That is significant when you consider that in the Bible we are those who are called out! Our “calling” is to hear the Voice and be called out; out of this world, out of religion, out of Self, out of all substitutes for Christ… and called into Christ. And we’re not called out of the world and into Christ for a vacation, but for a vocation.

Even though Christ is our Rest, this Rest is never passive and vacant, but is occupied and active! With God it seems that there is no such thing as ‘vacancy’ or emptiness; He is always about filling – filling us, filling the earth, filling all things, going forth, movement – fulfilling His Purpose. As His children we are no different! Life is activity; death is inactivity. We ARE to be dead and passive to our Self, but alive and active to Christ!

It is not so much about what we do or don’t do, but about who we are by simply being one with Him and being united in vision and purpose. He is our Career in the sense of being our occupation, pursuit, motivation, profession, and life’s work; not what we do FOR Him, but who we are and what we do BECAUSE of Him, by His Life in us.

Outside the will of God there is nothing than fear and in His will there is nothing to fear. It is my prayer that the will of God will be manifested in you this day and beyond in Jesus name,Amen.
